My book is officially published and available for purchase on Amazon
I’m extremely excited to announce that Cat Dog Chronicles—the book I’ve been rattling on about for the last couple weeks—is officially published and available for purchase on Amazon. It’s available both as a Kindle eBook and a paperback.
Click the button below to check it out!
If you are an Amazon Prime member, the paperback is even available with free shipping.
If you’re more of an audiobook person, don’t worry—the audiobook version of Cat Dog Chronicles is in the works and will be available within the next few months.
If you are not an Amazon person, I’m working on getting set up to sell the paperback version directly here on Hound on the Run. So, if you’re interested in a signed copy, please subscribe to be notified when those are available.
For anyone purchasing the book for young readers, I made sure to keep the book PG and rest assured there are no curse words or profanity.
Why I Wrote the Book and Why You Should Read It
I wrote Cat Dog Chronicles because I wanted to shed some light on how incredibly complicated and nuanced hound hunting is. I believe I conveyed well that hunting with hounds isn’t simply a matter of turning dogs loose and walking into a tree—it’s so much richer and more challenging than that! Owning my hounds and building a relationship with them through the intense adventure that is bobcat hunting has changed my life for the better in every way imaginable and I wanted to capture that spirit of adventure in its pages.
I wrote the book with both hunters and non-hunters in mind. Although I don’t go into anything political in the book, I hope to both dispel some common myths non-hunters hold about hound hunting by getting into some of the more nitty-gritty details of working hand-in-paw with hounds. Beyond that, I hope my writing inspires my fellow hound hunters to get fired up and engage even deeper with this incredible sport.
While there are some phenomenal books written by houndsmen over the past several decades, to my knowledge there haven’t been many new books published that specifically talk about bobcat hunting … other than David Peightal’s, Bobcat Dog, of course. With Cat Dog Chronicles, I’m hoping to fill that void and contribute something special and lasting to the hound hunting community that is enjoyable to read.
I appreciate everyone taking the time to read and consume the content I’ve been putting out lately and all the feedback I’ve been getting is incredibly encouraging. Thank you so much, and if you buy Cat Dog Chronicles, I hope you truly enjoy it.
Best wishes,
Niklas
P.S. Today is the opening day of the Bobcat Pursuit season here in Oregon — good luck this season everyone!
