This week’s video is from an overnight camping and hunting trip I took with my pack into one of my favorite areas.
I intended to stay out for three or four days, and although I was mostly prepared to accomplish that, I ran out of one key ingredient—water—that forced me to head home early.
Coulee and Roux got lots of good running in and we spent the better part of a morning cold trailing on a road where I had found many sets of bobcat tracks in the snow last season. The dogs never got it jumped but every time I put them on the ground and give them all the time they need to work it out, I know they get better and better.
Of course, the Puppy Pack was in tow, and they are doing a great job getting into the flow living out of the truck, hunting and camping.
One of these days I’ll show you all a cat in a tree, but for now, I hope you enjoy watching hounds do hound stuff.
Head over to YouTube to watch it now and don’t forget to like and subscribe!
P.S. Did you know I wrote a book about my bobcat hunting adventures? It’s called Cat Dog Chronicles and I wrote it to share my journey with both other hound hunters and non-hunters alike. Fellow hunters — I know you’ll find it entertaining and relatable … But if you’ve never been hound hunting but are curious about what it’s really like, my personal story will give you a glimpse into this complex sport and show that it’s not as easy as you might think!
